She was born in Mission City, B.C. March 14, 1922. She is survived by her daughters June, Linda, Sharon and sons Gary and Ken (Mary). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Angela (Matthew), Scott, Jordan (Keltie), Carly (Eugene), Kevin and great grandchildren Carson, Tanner and Lyla.
Mitsuko was predeceased by her husband Hideo, daughter Diane, sons-in-law John and Bob, siblings Tokiye, Kazuko, Shigeko, Makoto, Kazuo and her parents Tokutaro & Kinu Shigehiro.
Mitsuko lived a long and meaningful life, persevering through difficult times with strength and grace. She resided and worked very hard on the farm in Bow Island area for 65 years. She was always kind and caring of others and had a good sense of humor with a mischievous wink. She instilled a strong work ethic in her children and provided much love and compassion. Her greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as she would have the brightest smile during their visits. Mitsuko was a loving Wife, Mother, Aunt, Sister and Friend. Forever in our hearts she will always be loved and missed every day.
Funeral service will be held in Lethbridge at the Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta, Saturday April 19th, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Roland Ikuta officiating. After the service, interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Lethbridge at 12:00 pm.
