Mei Yu Wong passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born in September of 1944 to Hung & Wei Lan Ma. She spent her formative years in China, moving to Hong Kong working as an editor, where she met and married Tom Wong before immigrating to Canada, eventually settling in Calgary.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children and their families, Gene & Catherine Wong; Ling Wong; and her grandchildren, Dale, and Evan.
Mei Yu was predeceased by her husband, Tom Wong, they will be reunited at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL (3220 4th Street NW), Calgary, AB on Thursday, April 24, 2025 between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM; interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
