Heaven has gained an angel with the loss of a beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend. Marlene was ripped from our lives on December 16, 2015, when she was taken from us in a tragic car accident on Highway 19 at the age of 71 years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, including her sons Cody (Ingrid) and Dale (Shelley); daughter Corinne (Cory); grandchildren Anita (Phil), Jennifer (Derrick), Shaine, Jason, Candice (Jordan), Dallas, Krystal (Kenny) and Kelsey; great-grandchildren; Alyssa, Ethan, Nikkita, William, Dale Jr., Tristan, Harmony, Jayden, Cameron, Kylie, Tavian, Mikka and Kaige. Marlene is survived by siblings Alvina, Donnie, Eddy, Gerine, Ruby, Ronnie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marlene is predeceased by her husband Reg; father Wilhelm; mother Emeila; brothers Billy and Varnie and sister Eilene. Marlene was a remarkable fun loving woman that could make something wonderful out of nothing and everyone would love it. Her passionate appreciation for some of life's simplest things touched all who knew her. She was a woman that was beautiful inside and out. Her love and strength for family could be matched by no other. Marlene would take the time to talk to everyone young or old and shared her love with all. Marlene will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Marlene’s Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, St. 100, 119 – 14 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6.
