Mark Stephen Denis

Family advise with heavy hearts Mark Stephen Denis, aged 69 took leave of us all -- peacefully and quietly in the late afternoon of September 30, 2018. Courageous to the end, Mark will be missed and remembered by his wife Julia (nee Consitt) married 47 years; his sons, Andrew (Jill) residing in Victoria B.C.; Michael residing in Calgary Ab; daughter Jennifer (Steve) residing in Sheffield England and a dear family friend, Trish Mulder of Calgary Ab.. He is predeceased by his twin sons. Mark is also survived by his 3 loving grandchildren Austin, Matthew and Michael; brothers Joe and Paul of Midland, Ontario; his sisters Fran of Midland Ontario and sister Lorraine; predeceasing him his brothers Raymond and Martin of Midland, Ontario. As well he will be deeply remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

While there will be an undeniable void, I am sure all family and friends will be happy with multiple memories of playing hockey; consecutive successful years as being an excellent hockey coach; golfing, playing pool and his passion for relating numerous historical events.

If family/friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to "Jump Start" - a Canadian Tire charitable funding for underprivileged children who have not the opportunity to purchase equipment for hockey or sport they wish to pursue due to unavailable personal funds. Andrew, Michael, Jennifer and Julia would like to personal express our sincerest "thanks" to ALL staff on Units 46 and 47 for your caring patience, acceptance, understanding and kindness with Mark's long term illness.

Mark will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Margaret's Cemetery in Midland, Ontario.
