Marianna Maione

On March 5, 2023, Marianna Maione passed away peacefully in her sleep after a lengthy battle with dementia. Marianna was 84 years old. She was born in Italy and migrated to Canada in 1956 with her family. Her beloved husband, Antonio Maione, followed her to Calgary where they were married and raised three daughters. They owned Gino’s Pizza in the Westbrook Mall and were successfully self-employed for over 30 Years. Marianna was a devoted mother and wife. She was the glue that held our family together. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Marianna is survived by her three daughters, Maria (Mike), Enza and Fiorentina. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Anthony (Jocelyn), Jena (Rebecca), Bernadette, Peter, Eden (Jazmin), Dezirae and her great grandson, Landon. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio Maione as well as her parents, Sebastiano and Addolorata, her brother Antonio and sister Giuseppina.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of Millrise Seniors Village, 2nd floor Long term care facility for the professional and compassionate care they showed Marianna.

A private family gathering will be held for Marianna Maione at South Calgary Funeral and Crematorium.
