Maria Bach

Mrs. Maria Bach passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Maria was predeceased by her husband, Jozef Bach, in 2006. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, Teresa; grandchildren Diane (Bert), Tracy, Michael (Twyla) and David; son John (Susan); grandchildren Joanne (Jay), Jay and Kaitlyn; as well as great-grandchildren Bertram, Kyera, Analynn, Katyanna, Gunnar, Duncan, Damian, Della Rae and Jozef. Maria was predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters. She was the youngest of the children. Maria lived through World War II and came to Canada in 1948. In 1950, she married the love of her life, and built their home one room at a time while raising two small children. They became loving and nurturing grandparents and great-grandparents. Maria loved her family, gardening, and flowers. She was strong in her Roman Catholic faith. Maria was an active member and parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
