Marguerite Margie Victoria Chilton

Marguerite (Margie) passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the age of 84 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Claire and son-in-law Doug Klug of Calgary, AB; son Jim and daughter-in-law Lianne of Singapore as well as by her grandchildren Adam (Flower), Tyler, Megan Connolly, and Connor Chilton, and great grandson Rylan Sawyer; nephew Dick Marty; niece Diane Marty-Dugas (John) and children Jeremy, Meredith and Robyn, all of Toronto, ON; cousin Connie Creighton of Roscommon, MI. Margie was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1999; daughter Chris in 2010 and sister Betty Marty in 2003. She was known for her warm, caring nature and wonderful smile. Margie loved music, the outdoors and was an avid reader, but her greatest passion was her family. She enjoyed a long and active life in Calgary and will be greatly missed by those her life has touched. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. In accordance with Margie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 15 Colonel Baker Place, N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 4Z3.
