Linda Marie Simmonds

Linda, beloved Mother, Sister and Aunt, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the age of 72. Linda was born in Calgary where she lived her whole life. She worked at the Forest Lawn Hotel; as a caregiver to (Bert & Harry) and at Market Mall (Kids at Play).

Linda is survived by her son Lonny Simmonds, her sister Arlene Rickard, brother in law Alan Rickard, niece Lindsay Rickard and nephew Lance Rickard. Linda was predeceased by her mother Mary in 1983, father Harry in 2007, her aunts Marion Parker and Norma Schwartzenberger, Uncles Ernie Little and Tony Schwartzenberger. She will be missed by many other relatives, friends and co-workers

Linda was an avid Calgary Flames and Calgary Stampeder Fan.

A Memorial to Celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Fosters Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street NW, Calgary on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm, with the interment the following morning on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 am. Please meet at St Mary’s Cemetery main gate if you are planning to attend the internment.
