Kyle Wayne McKay was born April 6, 1989 and he passed away on January 26, 2021. Kyle was a son, a brother, a father and a friend to all who came into his magnetic orbit. Kyles labeled himself as a “social butterfly.” His love for spur of the moment adventures led him to many new sights and friendships and left him with many amazing stories and memories for a lifetime. Kyle was a talented athlete. He loved playing football. Kyle played for Calgary based bantam football league Bulldogs. In High School he played for Henry Wise Wood Warriors later moving to Saint Mary High School for football. The final team Kyle played for was the Calgary Colts a semi-pro team for the Calgary Stampeders. Kyle enjoyed his family time and his friends. He loved moments of peace and quiet to read his bible. Kyle will be remembered as a Gentle Giant with a heart of pure gold.
Kyle leaves behind his parents Bryan McKay and Joan Bennett-McKay; his siblings Andrew (Tisha) Gray and Kelsey (Alek) McKay; mother to his children Jackie McDowell and his children Jakayla, Isaiah, and Autumn McDowell.
Due to current restrictions, Kyle’s visitation will be by invitation only and will be held at South Calgary Funeral Centre on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
A private Funeral Service will be held at Truth Church on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 with burial to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
