Kristine Depkat

Kristine was born February 5, 1941, in Koenigsberg, Germany to Margarete Gueldenhaar and Ewald Depkat. The family moved to Canada in 1953 and settled in Thunder Bay, ON. When Kristine was a teenager she moved to Calgary with her mother and this is where she lived for the rest of her life. Kristine mainly worked as a bank teller, but her love of learning saw her take many courses over the course of her life; from culinary to computer systems, she was constantly exploring new learning. She spent the later years of her life taking long walks and enjoying morning coffee with her partner of over 30 years, Arne.

Kristine is survived by her sister Gisela, nephews Eric (Patrizia), Peter (Angela), Steven, and niece Ingrid.

Kristine is predeceased by her parents, Margarete and Ewald, her sister Inge Kutok, and her partner Arne Christensen.

Thank you to Monterrey Senior’s Home, Agecare Midnapore, and a special thank you to Ginny for their care of Kristine in her later years.

Kristine will be laid to rest at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
