Kelly A. Gallagher passed away peacefully on January 15, 2014 in Calgary at the age of 86 years. He was born in McCreary, Manitoba on October 6, 1927. When he was 20 years old Kelly moved to Alberta and met the love of his life, Lucy. They raised 3 children and happily celebrated their 64th anniversary in October 2013. Kelly began his career as an Iron Worker in 1952 and eventually was the oldest member of Local 725. His favourite things were camping and fishing and playing crib, poker and bingo.
Kelly is lovingly remembered by his wife Lucy and their three children, Gerri (Brian), Pat and Jeremy. He is also survived by his grandsons, Randy (Susan) and Gary (Kandice); great granddaughters Katie and Brittany; great-great grandson, Kaeden; brother, Andy (Marion).
There will be no formal service held. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Kelly’s honour directly to STARS Air Ambulance, 1441 Aviation Park NE (Box 570), Calgary, AB T2E 8M7
