It is with much sadness that our dear mother and grandmother Kathleen Yvonne Hinde, born on September 25, 1930, in London, England, passed away on August 20, 2022. Kathleen is survived by her daughters Sandra and Linda; and her grandchildren Nathaniel and Millie.
In her early years, Kathleen worked as a hairdressing professional in the west end of London prior to meeting her to be husband John, who she spent 56 years with. Kathleen had an adventurous life living abroad in Iran, Ethiopia, and Italy. Kathleen immigrated to Canada in 1968 and settled in Calgary for the remainder of her life. She had a wonderful social disposition and possessed an incredibly kind soul with an immense love for sunshine, the outdoors, lawn bowling, a good game of bridge, and animals - particularly cats and dogs. She was a lifelong supporter of the Humane Society. We would like to thank all the care home staff, nurses and doctors who were instrumental in keeping Kathleen comfortable during the last part of her life.
