Kathleen "Kay" Gerrish Armstrong

October 8, 1929 – November 30, 2012

Kay passed away peacefully in Calgary, AB on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the age of 83 years. She was full of life and quick to add a smile to everyone’s day. Kay will be lovingly remembered by her sons Weldon Vickers, Doug (Deb) Armstrong, Franklin Armstrong, Barry (Gigi) Armstrong, Pat (Brenda) Armstrong and Gordon Armstrong; granddaughters Fiona (Ian) Moram, Ellana, Ellisa, Danica, Shavonne, Shaylee and Shannon Armstrong. She will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews; adopted family who had the honour of calling her “Auntie Kay”, and many dear friends. Kay was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her parents as well as brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 7624 – 39 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2R 0P7 or a charity of one’s choice.
