June Wai Chun Yee

June Wai Chun Yee passed away peacefully on January 17, 2012 in Calgary, Alberta. She was born in Toisan, Guangdong Province, China on August 23, 1934. June immigrated to Canada in 1957. She became a hairdresser in 1961. In 1975, June began to help her husband with their grocery business. She retired from the grocery business in 1993 to provide care for her grandchildren. June enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind generosity towards her family. June is survived by her husband Tung Kong (Tommy), three sons: Jack (Jean), Peter, Larry (Jeanette) and five grandchildren: Rachel, Bryan, Daniel, Madelaine and Katelyn. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
