Joyce Bishop passed away peacefully at the Chinook Hospice on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the age of 85 years. She will be sadly missed by her family, daughters Shirley (Jim) and Kathy (Dave); son Don; grandchildren Darren (Tina) and Christina; and great-grandchildren Brandon and Jenna. Joyce enjoyed many activities including the Kerby Center, hiking with the M&M hiking club, painting, knitting, gardening and walking her dog Beasley. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Lawrence. Joyce was born in Calgary and worked in the Eaton’s restaurant downtown. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 200-325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 2P5 or to the Kerby Center, 1133 – 7 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2P 1B2.
