Jonathan Lloyd Kunkel

Jonathan Kunkel, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the age of 26. Beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Jonathan loved being outdoors, playing games, working, and above all, helping others. He was intelligent, quick-witted, funny, kind, and generous. He studied mechanical engineering and loved to read fiction and history books. He was proud of his work and enjoyed sharing his talents with others. Beloved son of Robbie Kunkel, Clovis, CA and Steve Kunkel, Sandpoint, ID, loving brother to Thomas Kunkel, Davis, CA, and Caroline Kunkel, Lewisburg, PA, delightful nephew and grand-nephew to Libbie Marshall, Oklahoma City, OK and Carolyn Dickson, Fort Worth, TX, as well as loyal cousin and friend, Jonathan will be remembered for his humorous and captivating stories, his passionate love of nature, and his intelligence, tenacity, and grace. We are grateful to the Holloways, who generously helped Jonathan make Calgary his home, and to his large circle of friends.
