John Louis Hoekstra

John Louis Hoekstra, age 81, passed away peacefully in White Rock, B.C. on September 23, 2013. He leaves behind his sister, Elaine Hoeve in Oregon. John will be sadly missed by his daughter, Kathlyn Saliani (Dom) and his son, Mark Hoekstra (Kelly Rankine) both of Calgary. “Grandad by the Beach” will be sorely missed by his two granddaughters Lisha Saliani (Mike) and Stacey Hohman (Tyler) and by Stacey’s two sons Zack and Cole. John was predeceased by his parents, Reverend Peter and Hattie Hoekstra.

John spent his last 32 years in White Rock, B.C. where he enjoyed viewing the beautiful ocean from his balcony.

A Private Family Service will be held at Mountainview Memorial Gardens where John worked for many years during his life in Calgary.
