It is with great sadness that the family of John Henry “Jack” Austin announce his passing on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the age of 96 years. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Yvonne (Bill Tabert); his son Bill (Anne Lemco); his grandson Nicholas Austin; his sister Joan Fayter; longtime family friend Angela Matthews; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren and friends. Jack was predeceased by Audrey (Prevost), his wife of 59 years, his sister Betty (Matthews), in 1956, and his parents Roy and Rosea Austin.
A Funeral Service and Celebration in Jack’s memory will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Field of Honour at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
