Joanne Gerda Bell (Wykhuizen) passed away peacefully in her sleep, in the comfort of her home in the early morning of Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the age of 67 years.
Joanne was born on August 24, 1951 to Dirk and Gerda Wykhuizen at the General Hospital, and raised exclusively in Calgary. She graduated from James Fowler High School in 1969. Joanne worked in housekeeping at the Foothills Hospital where she met her future husband, Larry Bell. They were married September 16, 1972. They welcomed their first child, Dirk. Shortly thereafter, they welcomed the next and last child, Aaron. Joanne worked as a nursing attendant for 13 years, followed by a variety of jobs.
Joanne is survived by her two children, Dirk and Aaron Bell as well as her three grandchildren, Trinity, Adriana, and Theodore Bell, and many loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents and husband.
