Joan Annette Nelson (nee Spankie) passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Agape Hospice at the age of 72 years after a lengthy struggle with lung cancer. Joan is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lyle Nelson; her children, Lynn, Karen and Dave Thorsell, Kim Taylor and Jeff Nelson; their families and children; many dear friends and extended family. She was predeceased in 1984 by her first husband, Gordon Thorsell. Joan was a precious jewel in a lattice of love and support.
A wake will be held at the North Haven Community Centre on April 19, 2014 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
