Jane Ann Kirkpatrick Miller

Jane was the daughter of John and Jane Kirkpatrick, and was born in Kirkaldy, Fife, Scotland on October 27, 1924. With her family, she came to Canada when she was four years old. Our loving Mom passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 27, 2016. She had been battling Alzheimer’s for the last 10 to 12 years. She enjoyed singing, dancing and was a good cook and baker. Mom also enjoyed sewing, crafting, knitting and crocheting. Jane was predeceased by her husband Bob Miller on September 15, 2014; daughter Alison on February 20, 2016; as well as her siblings Jack, Jim, May, Robert and Andrew (Jane’s Twin who passed away at three and a half years old). She is survived by her youngest sister Edith “Edie”; children Kathy, Deana (Rick), Jackie (Barry), Bob (Bonnie), Tony (Correen), Ron and Judy (Derek); as well as 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 1515 - 100 Street S.E., Calgary. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue W #1600, Toronto, ON, M4R 1K8 or to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation, 204, 2323 - 32 Ave N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 6Z3.
