James Dreher, known as “Jim, JD, Poppa, Unc, and Mel”, age 76, crossed over peacefully Thursday August 15th. When the angels arrived, Jim was ready. After having received his last rites, he knew he was washed in the blood of Christ, had accepted all His promises, and was free. He joins his Mom (Jean), Dad (Joe), brothers Mike, John, George, and sister Doreen.
Jim is survived by his spouse Carolyn; his daughters Lisa (James), and grandchildren Chaz and Colten; Tanya (Jeff) and grandchildren Sierra, Kaya and Jules; step children John (Morgan) and grandchildren Madison and Mackenzie, Jason and Meaghan (Kelly).
A celebration of life will be held with prayers on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Gerard’s Church, 8944 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB, Canada. Service is at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at St. Gerard’s Church with reception following at the church. We invite all friends and family to participate in the burial ceremony following reception at St. Mary's Cemetery, Erlton St. &, 31 Ave SW, Calgary, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation which raises funds in support of abused women and children.
