With sad hearts we announce the passing of Jacqueline Arthur (Brown) beloved wife of Ronald Arthur after a valiant battle with cancer.
Jackie was a devoted mother to Ronni Abraham and Mona DeRose (Aldo) and found great delight in her grandchildren, Paul, Matthew and Megan. She also leaves behind her sister Ruby (Ronald) Parkes of Kelowna. Jackie is predeceased by her parents and sister Mildred, brother-in-law Jack and her brother Gordon.
Jackie was born in Swift Current on July 29, 1941. She stayed a prairie girl her whole life making Calgary her home since 1977. Her greatest joy was her family and the day she “got” Ron. Never without a book close to hand, she loved long walks and the simple pleasures of daily living. She enjoyed a long career as a legal secretary and her “job for fun” after retirement at Value Village.
Jackie’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Chinook Hospice for their loving care during Jackie’s last weeks. At Jackie’s request, there will be no service.
Expressions of sympathy may be left for the family in the Guest Book section found adjacent to this biography.
