Irene Thibault of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Irene was born on October 4, 1921 in Schlesien, Germany. She is predeceased by her parents, Anton and Gertrud (Sowada) Kuboth of Germany; her brother Erich; sister Ellie and son Werner Marock (2008). Irene served as a Red Cross Nurse during WWII and in 1955 immigrated to Canada. Her loves were her family, friends and faith. Irene is sadly missed by her brother Manfred Kuboth of Germany; daughter Gisela and son-in-law Marcel Levesque of High River Alberta, and sons Joseph, Gary and daughter-in-law Maria Thibault of Calgary; granddaughters, Anita (Brad) Levesque-Smith of Nelson, B.C., Megan and Chantel Thibault; grandson Paul (Melissa) Levesque all from Calgary; great-grandchildren Opal and Leonard Levesque-Smith; one niece and four nephews. Irene will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her warm smile, kind spirit and her strong faith. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a Visitation held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark's Catholic Parish, 5552 Madigan Drive NE. Calgary, AB on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be mad directly to the Canadian Red Cross, Suite 100, 1305 -11 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T3C 3P6.
