Henry Epp, husband of Sharon Epp (nee Love) passed away peacefully at 2:00 p.m. October 17th. He was a resident for 6 years at the Southwood Care Centre. Henry was predeceased by his parents Peter B. Epp and Anna Epp and his sister Luella McLeod and brother Peter Epp Jr. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Abe Epp; sisters Annie Rupert and Helen Seeley (husband Bob); sons Ryan Arthur Epp and Colin Peter Epp (wife Allison); grandchildren, the loves of his life (Liam, Emma and Karly) and numerous nieces and nephews!
We were childless for 5 years which allowed us to enjoy our jobs, party-hearty, ski, dance holiday, etc. We were so proud when we made Ryan and Colin, the loves of our life!!
I thank God that I have our sons to help me! Henry was my hero and I will mourn his loss forever! He was my great protector!! When we were first dating he used to say "I am 160 lbs. of springy blue steel wrapped in a tiger skin" and I loved it!
In closing, I want to thank Henry's childhood buddy, Ron Parry who was the best man at our wedding 52 years ago. Ron has been the "best man" for all the years and when things got tough Ron would visit Henry weekly, take him for lunch and arranged gatherings with friends and more. Bless you Ron.
I would like to thank all of the medical staff at the South Calgary Health Centre for the great love and care provided to Henry, he kept them pretty busy! Hugs, Sharon.
