Helen Shepherd Skitch

Helen passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Helen is lovingly remembered by her children John (Wanda) Skitch, Frances (Kenneth Paul) Skitch, Faith (Larry) Wackershauser, Kathleen (Peter) Vermont; grandchildren Adam, Hans, Jason, Jennifer, Elijah, Tikva, David, Jonathan, Charity, Michael, Jeremiah and Kathleen; brother Norman Shepherd as well as by the Inthasane and Vanlady families, her honourary children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Paul Skitch in 2007. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation at Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary), on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to attend may meet at the entrance to the Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held at Foothills Alliance Church , 333 Edgepark Blvd. N.W., Calgary on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 – 29 Street N.W., Calgary AB, T2N 4N2 or to Sarcee Hospice, 3504 – 29 Street S.W., Calgary AB, T3E 7J8.
