Hans C. Larsen

September 1, 1936 - March 20, 2011

Hans was born in Fjerritslev, Denmark and came to Canada in 1959. He was a bricklayer by trade, and with his two partners IB Jensen and Hans Sorensen they owned and operated IB Jensen Masonry for over forty years. Hans' motto was "If you are going to do the job, do it right the first time." He was well respected in the masonry trade and if he said he could do it, then it was done, and done right. Hans loved the outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting, golf and of late he had taken up lawn bowling. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Hans will be missed by his wife, Shirley; sons Jeffrey (Lena), Paul, and Dale; grandchildren Nicole, Eric, and Daniel. Hans still has family in Denmark: sisters Doris (Borge) and Karen (Leo); brothers Kaj (Grethe) and Erik (Anni). Hans was predeceased by his father Jens and his mother Emma. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Hans' memory directly to your favorite charity. A Memorial Service was held at Sharon Danish Lutheran Church, 210 - 10 Avenue N.E., Calgary on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 3:00p.m. Friends and Relatives were invited to join Shirley and family for refreshments following the service at the church.
