Gordon Henry Oberhamer

October 11, 1947 – June 6, 2012

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts to announce the passing of Gordon Henry Oberhamer at the age of 64. He will be lovingly missed by his wife, soul mate and best friend, Janet. His brother Norman and sister-in-law Judy, nephews Doug and Brandon, sister Rita and brother-in-law Ralph, nieces Robbin, Rhonda Thurn, blended family Jamie, Pam, Alexander, Danielle Lott, and Kelvin, Chris, Ashley, Brittany Lott, and Brent, Alana Hudson, Emerson, Grayson Holst. Gordon was predeceased by his sister, Gladys, in 1929, his father, Herbert in 1971 and his mother Martha in 1995. Sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Foothills Country Hospice for their wonderful care, compassion and dignity they provided Gordon in his time with them and for the love and support they gave Janet as well. Very special thanks also to the Palliative Home Care staff and the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic staff. A Funeral Service was held at All Saints Lutheran Church, 380 Midpark Blvd. S.E., Calgary on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Foothills Country Hospice Society, P.O. Box 274, Okotoks, AB T1S 1A5. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
