Gerald Pearce

1917 – 2013

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gerald Pearce on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in Calgary, AB at the age of 95 years.

Gerald was born in Gladstone, MB and moved to Calgary in 1948, where he has since resided. He is survived by his daughter Edith Purcell of Kelowna, BC and sister Katie Donnelly of Gladstone, MB as well as by many nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his wife Lydia; sister Mary and brothers Walter and Edward. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Mountain View Memorial Gardens following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, Suite 200-119 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 or Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 150, 110 Quarry Park Blvd S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 3G3 or Salvation Army of Alberta, 420 9 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 0R9.
