Esther was predeceased by her husband Dr. Allen S. Wright. Esther is survived by her three children: son, Lary Wright (Katherine) and his children, Marcus, Natalie and Jonathan; daughters, Marilyn Dawson (Mike) and her son, Clayton as well as Barbara Wright and her son, Allen (Alisha). Esther was a long time member of Grace Presbyterian Church, the Dorcus Group and a volunteer at the Calgary General Hospital and the Salvation Army. Esther taught school for many years and was a graduate of the Alberta College of Art.
A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 100-119 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
