Eric proudly served in the British Army before embarking on a new chapter in Canada in 1972 with his wife, Jill Maureen Coombs. They welcomed their son, Mason Coombs, in Calgary in 1976. A dedicated craftsman, Eric spent his career as a finishing carpenter, working passionately from the age of 21 until his retirement at 78.
Eric is survived by his wife Jill, son Mason, and beloved granddaughter Rayna Gingerysty-Coombs. He is also remembered by his sister, Carol Chamberlin of England. He is predeceased by his brothers Ralph and Michael Coombs.
Eric's warmth touched the lives of many. His legacy lives on through the cherished memories of those who knew him, particularly in the heart of his granddaughter Rayna.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family residence on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
Cremation was in care of Foster's Garden Chapel.
