Enid Lorraine Gerlitz

August 4, 1929 – June 23, 2013

Lorraine passed away in Calgary, AB on Sunday, June 23, 2013 as a result of a tragic accident at the age of 83 years.

Lorraine will be truly missed and lovingly remembered by close friend Yvonne Scott and family, niece Linda (Gerlitz) Resch, sister-in-law Jackie Moore, numerous friends, and neighbours in the Mission district. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Winnifred and Frank Moore, beloved husband Henry, and dear brother Dennis. Lorraine was a kind, gentle soul, whose graciousness and manners will always be remembered by those she came into contact with. She was a savvy and intelligent lady who also had a great sense of humour and loved a good joke. Her giving spirit and social responsibility were evidenced by her association with the Salvation Army and the numerous charities that she supported.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Salvation Army Glenmore Temple, 921 - 68 Avenue S.W., on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. The family and friends of Lorraine wish to give a heartfelt thank you to Calgary City Police and the numerous volunteers that came to their aid following the terrible flooding in Calgary. Lorraine's cherished cat Lucy is being adopted by a family friend and is settling into her new home. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society (www.calgaryhumane.ca/donate).
