We have many special memories of both your mother and father and of the open door policy of their home. Everyone was welcomed. We have missed them popping in to see us.The most outstanding memory I have of Elmer is his thankfulness of knowing Truth. He never failed to express that in meetings.  You will miss him Sandi.  We had hoped to attend the funeral today but Ian was called into work. Just remember, we do care.

Sorry we couldn't make it to the funeral today.  We have such fond memories of Uncle Elmer, Auntie Mary and the whole family.  Our thoughts and sympathy to all of you.

Marlene, we think of you and your family and Larry, you and your family at this time of parting. I always enjoyed my time spent in the presence of Elmer and Mary. They meant a lot to our family. Dad,( Carl Ernst ) sends his condolences as well. Your folks were an encouragement to us by being who they were and standing so up rightly through the years. I loved Elmer and Mary.  They loved me. Just special Godly bonds that unite.  
Appreciate learning more about my Dad from Elmer's stories from the '30's so now can tell his great grandkids about their kind and Godly Grandpa.

I have the pleasure of being known by Elmer all my life and knowing his great kindness and Godly concern for our family. He was a great encouragement to all who would meet him. Our deepest sympathies to all.

I have very good memories of being at Elmer & Marys home on a Sunday for a meal tagging along with Bud & Ruby Montgomery (who took me under their wing). They always had such a welcoming home. That came to mind when I heard Elmer had passed away.

Though I only had the honor of knowing this wonderful man, known to all of us as Grandpa, a short time, my life was and will be better because of him, it warms my heart thinking about the nice times we shared together, I'll miss his smile more than anything. For his family whom he loved and adored so much, and was so proud of, When you think of his smile, may you be reminded of all the good times you've shared, and when you hear the stories people will tell about him, may it ease the pain in your heart to know how much he meant to everyone lucky enough to know him. I have very fond memories of staying over for the weekend at Elmer & Mary's home in Calgary and hanging out with Sandy (helping her with her paper route on Saturday mornings).  My sincere condolances go out to the family.

We will miss you Grandpa..You taught us so many things..But mostly about the importance of loving and serving a living God. Rod, Jenelle, Tyler and Tanner
