Beth passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care in Airdrie, AB on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the age of 101 years. Beth is survived by her daughter, Margaret (James); grandchildren, Lisa (Gerald) Koebel, Craig Howard, Kelly (Wayne) Farrell, James Heddle, Jr.; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Isabel Beattie and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip X and son, Stanley Grant Howard. Beth immigrated to Canada in 1912 from Scotland and they homesteaded in Craigmyle. She moved to Calgary in the 1950’s. A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly Bethany Care Airdrie, 1736 - 1 Avenue NW, Airdrie, AB T4B 2C4.
