Elizabeth graduated from Darcy McGee High School in Montreal. An extremely industrious woman, Elizabeth wore many hats in her lifetime, from bookkeeper to event coordinator to spiritual healer. She was instrumental in establishing the Learning Disabilities Association of Quebec, helping parents and teachers better understand and support children with learning disabilities. She also helped organize large conferences with thousands of delegates and speakers from across Canada, USA and Europe.
Elizabeth had a thirst for knowledge and was an avid reader. She was especially interested in the natural healing arts, becoming an herbalist, reflexologist, iridologist and spiritual healer, advising and providing relief to countless people including family and friends. Deeply spiritual, Elizabeth was raised in the Catholic Church, later becoming a member of the Greek Orthodox Church and follower of the teachings of the Rosicrucians.
Elizabeth was a long-time member of the Calgary Nu-Grads Club (a stepping stone of Newcomers) where she met and welcomed many women who recently moved to Calgary, several of whom become life-long friends. She served on the Executive of that club at one point, and participated in many of their activities.
Elizabeth loved doing crossword puzzles, playing FreeCell and playing Scrabble. She had a very keen mind and did very well at all these pursuits. She was tough to beat at Scrabble, having learned many interesting new words from crosswords.
Elizabeth will be fondly remembered by her friends and family as a force of nature, generous of spirit, always helping people in need. She loved nature and her ashes will be scattered next spring in the Rocky mountain wildflowers that she loved.
