Elaine will be forever loved and missed by her children; Lori (Reg) Henderson, Kelly (Tracy) Topilka, and Dave Belland, her grandchildren; Brandon and Kelsey Henderson, Christine (Max) Guerin and Jalyn Belland, as well as great-grandchildren; Madden, Ashton and Laken Guerin. Elaine will also be remembered by her sister Gaylene (Billingsley) Cooper, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Edna Riehl, her husband Clarence, and their son Murray.
Elaine was born in Yeomans, Saskatchewan on July 2, 1935. She married Clarence Belland on August 11, 1960 in Oxbow, Saskatchewan. Shortly after the wedding they moved to Didsbury, Alberta, where they started their family.
“I loved my life” was something Mom (Elaine) would say in her later years. She often spoke about how raising her children was “the best part”.
Throughout her life, she loved music and dancing, a good game of cards, bingo, crocheting and later in in her life there was always a puzzle in the works.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her and brought her much happiness. She was so very loved by her family.
A Celebration of Elaine’s Life will be held in Whitecourt, Alberta at a later date.
