Ewald moved to Canada in 1952, joined the electrical trade in 1962 and was a member of IBEW for 58 years. He loved western movies, fishing, golfing, and curling. Ewald passed away at the age of 77 years. Edith moved to Canada in 1955. She worked for Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, House of Tools, and UniFirst. She loved mysteries (reading or watching), and English comedy. Edith passed away at the age of 73 years. Ewald and Edith were married in September 1968.
They will lovingly be remembered by daughter Susan (Glenn) Labelle, sons Rick (Ronda) and David (Daniela) along with seven grandchildren Tanner, Chad, Kevin, Ryan, Victoria, Bobby, and Mikaela.
Their daughter Julie, after graduating from the U of A, was a high school English teacher in Alberta (Cold Lake, Brooks, Pincher Creek, and Calgary). She spent four years in China administering programs to teach English. Julie joined the City of Calgary in 2010 in emergency response, urban forestry, and fleet safety. She loved reading, the theatre, and was an avid fan of romances, mysteries, and classic 80’s films. Julie passed away at age of 48 years.
Ewald, Edith, and Julie were very strong in their Christian faith and we know that they are in heaven now with their Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
