Douglas William Bourne passed away peacefully in Calgary, on January 13, 2015 at the age of 98 years.
He will be sadly missed by his children Douglas Lynn (Christine), Sara Jo and Paulette Louise; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Douglas spent 30 years in the Canadian Army Medical Corps and was a veteran of the Second World War. He also spent over 10 years with Provincial Court Services in Victoria.
His family was the most important aspect of his life. He will be missed.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Osei-Tutu and the staff of Unit 46 of the Foothills Hospital for the care and comfort given to dad.
