Donna Mae MacDonald

Donna is survived by her husband Gordon MacDonald; her five children, Myrl Coulter (George), George McIvor, Kathy Evans (Randy), Patty Metcalf (Norm), Barbara McIvor; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; ten nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her husband of thirty-seven years, Don McIvor; her sister, Yvonne Rudnick; her brothers, Jack Hardy and Hugh Hardy.

Donna Mae Hardy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 15, 1929, the youngest child of Hugh and Lovisa Hardy. She grew up in the Norwood area of Winnipeg. After they were married, Don and Donna McIvor raised their family in Winnipeg until 1970 when they moved to Calgary where Donna lived for the rest of her life. In her leisure time, Donna liked to curl and golf. She made the best gravy in the world. We will all miss her presence in our lives.

A private service will be held in Calgary on Friday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories (ASANT), 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5H 4K1.
