It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald (Dinger) Anderson on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Calgary Alberta, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 80 years.
Don was born July 1, 1939 in Calgary Alberta. Don was a driver for Greyhound for 38 years and upon retirement, spent countless hours fishing on Kootenay Lake in Kaslo, BC. He had a tremendous love of baseball, especially the Toronto Blue Jays, and was a devoted fan of both the Calgary Flames and the Calgary Stampeders.
Don is survived by his wife Barbara, sons Cherard and Lyndon, stepchildren Wendy (Rick) and Joe (Nicole) as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
No funeral services will be held but a private ceremony will take place to carry out Don’s last wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta SPCA or the Calgary Humane Society.
