David was born on March 3, 1936 in Toishan, China and emigrated from Hong Kong to Calgary in 1969, where he worked as a baker for many years after receiving his commercial baking certificate from SAIT.
He had a strong Christian belief in God. Attending Church was an important part of his life and this is where he met many of his life-long friends.
David had many passions in life which included horseback riding, gardening and he was an avid collector of antiques. Over the years, he had compiled a vast collection of numerous treasures which were his pride and joy. He loved participating in weekend flea markets in search of his next treasure.
Above all, David was selfless in nature. He always put the needs of others before his own. David will be forever remembered for his kindness, generosity and loyalty to his friends and family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Hanson (Fanny); nephews Alan (Yun) and William; niece Carrie (Greg); grand-nephew Nathan and grand-niece Lauren.
The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to the nursing staff at the Mayfair Care Center and Whitehorn Village for their excellent care.
Thank you to Foster's Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Calgary for their expertise and ongoing support.
