Daryl was born in Raymond, Alberta on January 18th, 1946 to Thomas Katsuji and Toyoko Sugiyama.
Daryl is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Keeley) of 32 years; sister, April Sugiyama; brother-in-laws, Trevor (Theresa) Keeley and Sherman Keeley; and sister-in-law Lori (Ric) Pollock. He was a cherished uncle to Chris (Sydney) Keeley, Brittany (Ivan) Pollock, Amy (Niko) Heir, Emily and Benjamin Keeley, and great uncle to Jett Christopher Keeley
Daryl attended elementary, junior high and senior high school in Raymond, Alberta. In 1971, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary. He was a beloved industrial arts teacher at A. E. Cross Junior High School for 34 years until his retirement in 2006.
Daryl was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Katsuji and Toyoko Sugiyama, and brother-in-law, Philip Keeley.
