Dana is survived by her daughter Katie Brown of Calgary; mother Gayl Brown of Langdon; brother Sean Brown of Calgary; sister Bobbi Jo Brown (Mark Duffin) of Langdon and father Bruce Brown of Calgary. She is also survived by her aunt Darlene Brown (Steve Boser) of Calgary; Uncle Doug Brown (Barb) of Whitecourt; aunt Brenda Brown of Vancouver; her nieces Deanna and Taylor; nephew Kyle and her many cousins.
Dana was born in Ottawa, and spent the first few years of her life there with her parents and brother Sean. The family then moved back to Calgary, where young sister Bobbi Jo was born. Growing up she attended kindergarten in Dover, elementary school in Fairview and high school at Lord Beaverbrook. One of the finest moments of her life was when her daughter Katie was born in 1994. Although she has had numerous health issues, she always enjoyed the three loves of her life, her daughter Katie, her love of music and cooking. She got to spend a lot of time with Katie over the last few years. She loved all genres of music from Country, to Rock & Roll, to Heavy Metal. She spent most of her days, since being handicapped, listening to her music. She also loved cooking or helping out with the cooking, especially at supper time. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
