Cindy’s life was challenging, but she embraced it with grace. Even though there were struggles along the way Cindy was always focused on being her best self.
Cindy was an artistic lady, she was inspired by her surroundings to create ceramics, drawings, quilts and crocheting. Cindy loved the changing of the seasons and the holidays that each season brought. She would send cards to her family and friends to let everyone know she was thinking of them. She had a wreath for every occasion.
Cindy loved all things furry. She had a special bond with her lovely cat Miss Fiona. Cindy was always concerned about the animals in her neighbourhood – often sharing her groceries with the birds, rabbits and squirrels. At Christmas time she would deliver cat treats to the cats in her condo building.
Cindy will be sadly missed by her father Arnold Vermette; sister Susan (Wendell) Wilkie; nephews Jonathan (Blair – sons Adrian and Oban), Ryan, Kiel (Denielle – daughter Lili and son Keith) and Brett (Saron – daughter Yougo and son Igo); her sweet fur baby Miss Fiona; and longtime friend and support Stacy Schikowsky, who was always there and just a phone call away.
She was predeceased by her mother Florence May Louisa Harper – January 14, 2012, brother John Joseph Berze – August 23, 1974 and her beloved puppy Cassie.
Special thanks to the staff at Southwood Hospice for making her last months comfortable and caring for her so much.
