Beverly Norah Lynn Materi

Beverly Norah Lynn Materi passed away peacefully at Glamorgan Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the age of 64 years. She was born at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on April 30, 1958.

In her early years, she worked at the Calgary Post Office, Calgary Airport and at Elan Data in Vancouver. Bev was an animal lover, had cats and enjoyed riding her horses in her younger years. She loved to play Bingo, go to the movies, drives to the mountains and when out shopping, she would look at jewelry for a unique ring or bracelet. When she was at a restaurant she would enjoy a steak with fries or an order of French toast. Another favourite was having a chocolate milk shake.

Although Bev struggled with her health for most of her life, she never complained about how life had been so unfair to her.

Beverly is survived by her sister Sharon (Colin) Gilbert as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her father Pius (Peter) Materi and mother Lily Materi; as well as her brother Brian Materi.

Beverly’s family would like to thank all the staff at Glamorgan Care Centre for their love and care.
