Angela Harrison of Calgary, Alberta Canada, passed away peacefully at the Calgary South Health Campus on March 13, 2018 at the age of 68 years. She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Michael; sister Joan; brother John; first daughter Rachel; second daughter Kimberley, and her granddaughter Maven.
Angela was born on December 30, 1949, in Rocester, United Kingdom, where she resided until the age of 32, before embarking on new adventures and immigrating to Canada with her husband and daughter. After 11 years and an additional daughter born in Winnipeg, the family of four settled in Alberta where Angela remained for the last 25 years of her life.
Angela lived for her family and friends and her infectious positivity could light up any room she entered. Despite the many health ailments she faced throughout life, she refused to focus on the negative and woke each day with a smile on her face and laughter in her heart. Angela devoted her working life to helping those with special needs and the comfort she provided to all whom she worked with will be remembered forever. Angela loved music and poetry, politics and current events, and spending as much time as she could with her family.
Angela will be remembered above all for her kind spirit to all whom she encountered. She lived by the motto that happiness was a choice to make, and never let any of life’s setbacks take the wonderful, joyous smile from her face.
