Amelia “Molly” Gold (nee Anhorn) went to be with her Lord peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Amelia was born in the small town of Hatton, Saskatchewan into a large family of eleven brothers and sisters. A pillar of strength, a strong Christian faith and tireless church supporter with a generous spirit, Amelia lived her life with courage and love and is cherished by her family and friends. We all agree her love and kindness will never be forgotten by her daughter Judith (Ron), son Ken (Maureen), son-in-law Stan (Kathy), seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as a sister, brothers, nieces, nephews and her extraordinary, enduring group of friends. She is predeceased by her husband Edwin and daughter Shirley. We’d like to express our deepest thanks to the caring staff at the Bowview Manor and to Unit 36 of the Foothills Medical Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be forwarded to the charity of your choosing. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:00p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
