It was in Calgary, Alberta at a dance, that Al met and married his beloved wife Molly of almost 70 years. Together they raised 4 children and have 7 grandchildren. Dad will be remembered fondly for his love of cars, trucks, snowmobiles, motorbikes and pretty much anything else with a motor. He enjoyed cooking and eating. Chinese food, sushi and anything spicy were some of his favorites. He loved hunting, fishing and camping and took us on many adventures. Dad liked dogs, cats and horses and we had many throughout the years.
He will also be remembered for his many mustaches, goatees and beards, his woodworking, carving and clock collection. Dad had a very sharp wit and funny sense of humor right until the very end.
Dad leaves behind his wife of 69 years, Molly, his children and grandchildren, Cindy, Cy and Nicole, Jeff and Brenda, Judy, Kevin, Sarah and Dana, Marshall, Tracey, Kelly, Charlie, Casey and Cecilia. He is also remembered by his sister Geraldine and sister-in- law, Muriel.
May you rest in peace Dad, sipping a scotch, sitting in a gazebo watching your tomatoes grow, wearing a funny hat and listening to country music. We love you!
No formal funeral will be held at Dad’s request. The family will gather privately to celebrate and honor his life.
