Alice was born and raised in Calgary and proud of it. She was a member of the #264 Legion where she golfed until she was in her late 80’s. She also was a member of the Highwood Golf Club. She golfed sometimes two times a week. She also belonged to Hillhurst #46 Lodge where she curled in the winter and became a member of the 8-ender club for which she had the honour three times.
Mom worked at the Hudson Bay Company downtown and established and built the lighting department for 19 years. She then left to go manage the House of Light – for 22 years. Among her love for all sports included Stock Car Racing. She still remains the Powder Puff Queen.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her brother Neil and her three children: Don (Lucy) Patton, Bob Patton Jr. and Bev (Merv) Johnson. Devoted grandchildren are Little Bob (Kelly), Debbie (Andreas), Sheila (Mike), Darren (Dana), Gary, Allison, Nancy (Ben), and David (Krystal). Alice’s great grandchildren are: Kaiden, Miranda, Kayla, Christian, Isabella, Chad, Wyatt and Marcus. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and so many friends.
Alice is predeceased by her husband, Robert James, her mother Mary, father Allan “Pop”, brothers George and Allan, sisters in law Eve and Beth and daughter in law Joyce.
