Mrs. Vonnie Sterk, age 77 of Byron Center, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 20, 2023. She is preceded in death by husband, Pete Sterk; sister, Joyce Duncan; and brother, Gary Keefer.
Her greatest love and accomplishment was sharing her love for Christ with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and family. Vonnie will be greatly missed by her children Gerrit (Connie) Sterk, Pete Jr. (Yvonne) Sterk, Tim (Diane) Sterk, Ken (Brenda) Sterk, Deb (Dave) Hekstra. She will also be remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one more great-grandchild coming in October; sister, Nona Bowen; sister-in-law, Shelby Keefer; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 26 at First Byron CRC, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Vonnie, memorial contributions may be made to Moline Christian School.
